Adobe Systems appoints new GC

Adobe Systems has welcomed Michael Dillon as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.

He takes over from Karen Cottle who is retiring after 10 years in the position.

Dillon joins from Silver Spring Networks where he was general counsel and corporate secretary, before which he was general counsel at Sun Microsystems where he spent 14 years prior to its acquisition by Oracle in 2010.

In his new role, Dillon will report to Adobe president and CEO Shantanu Narayen and will assume responsibility for the company’s global legal affairs, public policy interests and compliance operations.

Commenting on the new appointment, Narayen said: “Mike’s background spans a broad spectrum of legal areas and he has extensive experience working with both established and emerging growth companies. His expertise is a great match for Adobe’s diverse business and growth agenda.”

Headquartered in San Jose, California, Adobe Systems has provided revolutionary contributions to the digital media and digital marketing industries for more than 25 years.
