King & Spalding expand real estate practice with team of seven in Paris
King & Spalding LLP has hired a team of seven real estate lawyers including Benoît Marcilhacy and Pascal Schmitz to its Paris office.
All arrive from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
Marcilhacy, who headed the Paris real estate group at Freshfields, focuses on the sale and acquisition of structured property portfolios and the establishment of real estate funds as well as complex development deals.

Schmitz focuses specifically on fund structuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, direct asset sales and commercial leases.
The arrival of this team brings the number of lawyers in the firm’s Paris office to 15, including five partners.
