Ayman Guirguis heads up competition practice at Corrs Chambers Westgarth
Corrs Chambers Westgarth has appointed Ayman Guirguis as a partner and head of its competition and regulatory practice in Sydney.

He arrives from Blake Dawson [now Ashurst Australia] where he was a partner for 10 years.
Guirguis has extensive experience in merger clearance, cartel work, and competitor and supply chain issues in a broad range of industries including petroleum, IT, pharmaceuticals, and construction. He previously held the position of director of mergers branch at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and has been a key adviser to leading international organisations such as ExxonMobil, Visy Industries and Hewlett Packard.
