Helene Jaffe joins Proskauer from Weil
Leading commercial litigator Helene Jaffe joined Proskauer Rose LLP in New York as partner and co-head of its antitrust practice in January.
She joins after 36 years at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP where she co-headed the competition practice.
Jaffe focuses her practice on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, as well as advertising and marketing issues. She has considerable experience of the pharmaceutical, consumer, airline and chemical sectors having previously represented major corporations such as American Airlines and French pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis.
She says the move represents a “huge challenge” but it is one she is excited about facing.
“At Proskauer, the challenge is to build up a 21st century competition practice for 21st century clients,” says Jaffe.
Ronald Rauchberg, co-head of Proskauer’s antitrust group, says: “Helene’s history of handling some of the largest, most high-profile antitrust matters in the country make her an exciting and valuable addition to our practice.”
Jaffe is listed in The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers and Economists.
