Seven individuals have been identified in this year’s chapter for the forensic accounting and digital forensics expertise that they provide in cases relating to the recovery or tracing of assets.

The “Big Four” are considered the go-to shops for forensic accountants and digital experts with expertise in asset recovery cases. Deloitte comes out on top with three listings. Gina Campbell is a partner in the firm’s forensic department and is recommended as a “meticulous and thorough” practitioner. Alan Stewart leads the forensic practice in Toronto and has “a great reputation”. He is noted as somebody who can “break down complex problems to make them easily understandable” and who can also “provide workable solutions”. Roddy Allan is a widely endorsed investigator who is extensively experienced in acting for financial institutions, companies and law firms on asset tracing and recovery.
PwC receives two listings. Jennie Chan is a member of the firm’s forensic services practice and has focused on the tracing of significant assets for over 20 years. She is “sharp and knowledgeable with the ability to think outside the box”. James Pomeroy is a prominent forensic investigator, having gained decades of experience in recovering assets for institutions around the world.
Enzo Carlucci is managing director of Duff & Phelps’ Toronto office and specialises in forensic investigations. He is considered “professional, creative and responsive” by clients.
