Borden Ladner Gervais leads by number of listings with five individuals highlighted in our research. Robert Charbonneau is “a leading figure in the insurance bar” having represented clients for almost 40 years. He has acted for insurers from all over the world in cases involving commercial, industrial, and aviation insurance, among others. Keith Batten is highly recommended for providing representation to insurance brokers on E&O coverage. Meanwhile, Jill McCutcheon has a “top-notch” insurance regulatory practice.

Blake Cassels & Graydon is home to four recognised individuals. Paul Belanger is extremely active and well known on the M&A side for insurance companies, with peers describing him as “first rate”. Greg Frenette is also well regarded for his corporate law advice in this sector. Mitchell Cohen is regarded as “a commercial property coverage guru”. David Tupper specialises in insurance litigation, providing advice to clients that “demonstrates a real knowledge of the law and a thorough understanding of commercial realities”.

Dolden Wallace Folick’s Eric Dolden has 35 years of experience practicing insurance law and is very well known in the market.
