One of the LAWIN’s key strengths is its corporate practice. Clients include Goodyear Dunlop Tires Group and its Estonian subsidiary Goodyear Dunlop Tires Baltic, which the firm advised on the establishment of branch offices in Latvia and Lithuania to improve the corporate governance structure of the company. The firm also advised Siemens Group on various corporate governance issues related to Siemens Baltic subsidiaries. Seven lawyers feature in the M&A chapter ,and from this group four boost their credentials with an appearance in the corporate governance section.
The four that appear in multiple chapters include the “highly regarded” Peeter Lepik, managing partner of the firm he is based in the Estonia office. The “talented” Raymond Slaidins is head of the firm’s Latvia corporate and M&A practice group and Rolandas Valiunas is the managing partner of LAWIN’s Vilnius office. Filips Kl¸avin¸š is a “leading name” in the industry. Managing partner of the Riga office, as well as being a recognised name for M&A and corporate governance, he is also lauded for his oil and gas practice.
Joining Kl¸avin¸š in the oil and gas chapter are an additional four practitioners. In Vilnius, Jaunius Gumbis is respected figure and Dovile˙ Greblikiene˙ receives praise for her knowledge of the energy sector. Estonia-based Martin Simovart is credited for the strength of his “technical ability”, and in Riga Ivars Slokenbergs is also commended for his practice.
