The firm has 14 practitioners listed in our management labour and employment chapter, eight of whom are based in its New York office. Joseph Baumgarten is co-chair of the firm’s labour and employment department and represents a wide range of clients in complex claims. Bettina Plevan and Howard Ganz are particularly highly recommended for their work in the sports industry. Plevan has “a reputation as one of the best” and co-heads the firm’s international labour and employment group while Ganz is co-head of the sports law group and has provided “quality work” for high profile clients such as the National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball. Outside of New York, Howard Shapiro in Los Angeles is a “leading specialist” who has “outstanding expertise in pensions and benefits work”.
