The firm boasts an incredibly strong business crime defence contingent in the US. Roberto Finzi is a former federal prosecutor and is “highly sought after” by international companies for his expertise in multi-jurisdictional criminal matters and regulatory investigations. Alongside him, Mark Pomerantz is “universally recognised” for his white-collar crime expertise. A “top” litigator, he is also highly nominated in our commercial litigation chapter. Co-chair of the litigation department Theodore Wells also features in both our business crime defence and commercial litigation sections. Having represented big corporate names including Citigroup, he is regarded as an “outstanding trial lawyer”. In DC, Beth Wilkinson is “highly talented and respected” and has worked on behalf of numerous Fortune 500 companies. Mark Mendelsohn is rated highly as someone who “really knows his stuff”.
Dispute resolution is a strong suit for the firm with five lawyers featuring in our commercial litigation chapter. The litigation team in New York is “absolutely first class” and chair of the firm Brad Karp is “particularly prominent” for his finance litigation work. On the corporate governance side, Stephen Lamb’s practice is informed by his experience as a judge at the Delaware Court of Chancery.
